Law Enforcement Rallies to Gray

February 16, 2018 - - The Peace Officers Research Association of California (PORAC), representing over 70,000 police officers throughout the state, has endorsed the reelection of Assemblyman Adam Gray to the State Assembly.
“As public safety officers, we appreciate [Gray’s] willingness to keep the avenues of communication open and [his] concerted efforts to seek our input on issues involving public safety and law enforcement,” said the PORAC Board of Directors.
PORAC joins the California Police Chiefs Association and local law enforcement in demonstrating united law enforcement support for Gray.
Stanislaus County Sheriff Adam Christianson and Merced County Sheriff Vern Warnke had earlier publically endorsed Gray.
“Adam Gray has always gone to bat for law enforcement,” said Christianson. “Public safety is his priority. He is someone we trust.”
“We know Adam Gray will work for us in getting resources and sound policies,” said Warnke. “He doesn’t run from a fight. We like having him in our corner.”
Earlier this year, Merced District Attorney Larry Morse also endorsed Gray. “Merced has seen first-hand how important it is to have an effective and supportive state legislator. Without him, our anti-gang efforts would not have been successful.”
“I appreciate this support,” said Assemblyman Gray. “No one has a tougher job than the men and women who we count on to protect our homes, neighborhoods, workplaces, parks and schools.”
“Personal security is essential to our quality of life,” continued Gray. “As long as I am in office I will stand with the men and women who we count on to be our first line of public safety.”
